other fish wit betta

I have a male betta and i also have a 10gallon tank. I plan to put my male betta in there. My tank has a heater and a filter. wut other fish can i put in with my male betta?

Also read brine shrimp

You might be able to add a golden apple snail or two or an african dwarf frog or two, depending on how aggressive your betta is. Some bettas do fine with these, and some don't. Mine didn't like the golden apple snail, who is now rehomed in a small tank. [/i]

will black skirt tetras work well with bettas?

They should but i feel a 10g does not allow enough swimming space for this tetra as they are one of the larger of the tetras.
