King betta.....

Hmm decided to go a new direction thanks to the lack of any dwarf frogs at the stores near me. So before I buy one is there any fish that can live with a king betta? Or am I going to have to go invert with the big guys?

pretty much anything you can put with a betta, you can put with a king betta :)

5G - 1 betta: orange dalmatian VT male "Ty"
29G - 1 orange fantail goldfish "Goldeen"

My king betta started out fine, then ended up in my 6.6 gal alone because he decided randomly all other fish are not allowed in his space lol. So watch out.

I was just thinking because of his size wouldn't he just eat everything smaller than himself?

yeah, I would stay away from the smallest fishes that can be kept with a regular sized betta.

With a king stay away from such species as the dwarf rasboras and pygmy cory and even possibly neon and cardinal tetras. I've heard cases of regular betta eating them. Go for larger fish like bronze corydoras, lambchop rasbora, glowlight tetra, and pristella tetra.

I've actually decided to avoid the whole lot and go with a apple snail. That little tank should be safe around him!^_^

I had apple snails housed with a betta before. He thought their siphons were worms and tried to eat them. Luckily the snails sucked their siphons back in before any damage was done.
