Small schooling species?

Big changes in the Sheldon household. Kyon is moving into a 20g hex, The tetras have moved in with Cloud and seem pretty happy so far and i might be taking in a group of molly babies. Kyon does well with tank mates. It eliminates his boredom mostly. He's quite a melancholic little soul and needs quite a bit of stimulation so decided when he moves (he isn't getting along with the Corys) to give him a small schooling species (not neons or cardinals) to not only occupy him but not make the big tank look so empty. As always there will be a lot of tall plants and will get him his own small cave for his own privacy. Cloud uses his cave as a toilet!

I'm thinking Harlequins, penguin tetras, Endlers or cherry Barbs. Tried them all in AQ and seems ok. Any other pretty, small and friendly species that will do well with him?

If he isn't getting along with cories what makes you think he will with other fish? Cories are the better tank mate because they stay out of the betta's way.

Oh that was a typo. I meant the tetras. They annoy him by nipping him.
