Red face Disappearing Ghost Shrimp?

I had two ghost shrimp in my ten gallon, and they were missing a couple of weeks ago, and I assumed they were just hiding.

Now they're definitely gone. The weird part is I had only seen Vilkas flare at them once, when they were put in the first time.

Now, I'm putting Vilkas in a 2.5g on my desk, and I might get a dwarf puffer in my ten gallon (my dad is talking about going to our favorite, massive tropical fish store to look at their selection) and I was thinking of putting a ghost shrimp in there to test so I could see if I could get shrimp with the puffer in the future, but if the puffer gets too aggressive, I'd move it in with Vilkas.

The only problem is I'm still not sure if Vilkas killed off the last two or not! Any idea on what might have happened?

did you check to see if the filter sucked them up? If not he ate them.

No, my filter is baffled really well and they wouldn't have been able to get sucked in.

Yup. He made them disappear, right into his belly that is.

Ah, well I might replace them because I just re-did my tank to curb his tailbiting and now there's so many hiding places they might survive... and I miss the little buggers.

Ahah, how cute! I know the two I had used to climb the walls of the tank and it FREAKED Vilkas out, he'd follow them around while they did it and try to swim up the glass!

I've had ghost shrimp vanish in a tank that had ONLY ghost shrimp.

I bought 20, lost 6, added 6 to my betta's tank, and then another 5, making 11. That ends up being 17 shrimp. I bought 20! >.< I don't know what happened to the other three.
