10 gal sorority + julii cories?

So, I'm planning a 10gal sorority when I move to the dorms on the 12th. The tank will need to be broken down in December when I move back home for a few weeks. I was thinking of doing tetras and cories and a betta, but I realized that could and would be a larger pain in the butt than I want/need to deal with in a few weeks. So, I'm going to attempt a sorority. But my LPS is selling Julii cories, and they are the cutest darned things.

So I was wondering if it would be okay to do about 6 females and 4 Julii cories?
Here's what aqadvisor says.


Also, I'm thinking an NPT so that I can plant it heavily and it will be easier to move. I don't need to completely tear the tank down, since I'm only 45mins away from home. I just need to lower the water level to around 25%.

I lied, the filter does like 20gph. Which is double for the tank size. I think anyway.

Edit: && yeah I'm gonna plant the shizz out of this tank. Thinking soil based NPT. Just need the proper lighting.

20 gph? That's is really bad lol, I hope you meant rated for 20 gallons. My TOM filter is 45 gph and it is only rated for 6 gallons. You want more water cycling through as it will keep the tank cleaner.

Stocking shoud be fine as long as it is heavily planted and actively growing.

Well honestly, thats what I'm assuming the filter is. I bought an Aqueon 10gal kit. It came with a quietflow filter, and a heater and whatnot. But yes, I plan to plant the crap out of it.

OKAY the smallest quietflow, the 10, is 100gph, rated for ten gallons. you probably either got that with the kit, or the 20 which is rated for 125
