10 gallon with male betta

So, I just got the okay from my mom to get a 10 gallon since I found out I'm allowed to have "as many tanks as I want as long as they are under 10 gallon and they are not a fire hazard."

Here are my plans:
Keep my 1.5 gallon AND 5 gallon. Get rid of the 3 gallon.

Keep Pudge in the 1.5, and put Jingles/Squirt (or Bubs) in 5 gallon divided. Put Bubs (or Jingles) in new 10 gallon.

The question is, what can I put in the 10 gallon with either Jingles or Sir Bubbles?

I was thinking to have in the tank:
4 cories (don't know which yet)
Some cloud minnows or Neon Tetras
Another oto cat to go with Lucky (a female, not a male)
Jingles/Sir Bubbles
Lucky (my oto now)

I also have the option of dividing it a few times and getting more male bettas, but I don't know how I feel about that...

Anything I should/shouldn't do? I'm planning on putting a decent amount of plants in there as well.

I'm also planning on doing a tank cycle with fish in it. I did it for the 5 gallon, and it went over well. I currentlly have 2 bettas and an oto in there and the ammonia levels are amazingly low as well, thankfully.

Is there any advice/info/tips I need?

Baby Buddha(M VT) ~ Oddball (M-DeTxHM)~ Little Chai ~ Lucky(F oto)

I seem to have a problem with collecting things with scales and fins. Oops

why not divide the 10 gallon into 3rds and keep your 5 and 3 gallon and keep the 1.5 as a hospital tank? and not get any tank mate because the aggressiveness of a betta, you may just waste you $$ anyways...

I already have two .5 gallons on the side for a hospital tank :)

If I get the 10 gallon, I only need to move one fish, all the others are staying where they are, so it's more convinient to do it this way.

If I put all my fish into the 10 gallon, I only have the option of getting more bettas, and I've been waiting for MONTHs to get a 10 gallon to get cories xD

you could divide it in half and get cories if you kept it clean....

I was told that I need at least a 10 gallon with cories, hence why I wasn't dividing it :/

I'm not too keen on dividing the 10 gallon right now. I'd rather just keep it open with just one betta, until I go home and think otherwise.

I'm only keeping the 1.5 because Pudge is in it :)
He's been undergoing some medicine treatments for about a month and a half now, and I noticed the bigger the tank, the worse he is. Otherwise I would be keeping the 3 gallon :)

Not sure if what i did is right but i have a male with a cory in a 5 gallon and they do just fine. been like that for a year and nothing has ever happened you could easily do 2-3 cories im guessing in a ten with a male. I have had 6 girls in a ten gallon before.

Well, it's advised to have multiple cories since they're a shoaling fish, and having only one or two can lead to stress/health problems for it :/

I mean, I have an oto cat in my tank, but she's tiny and doesn't take up much room. I have a feeling that if it wasn't for the constant water changing/having a cycled tank, things wouldn't be so well.

I've actually read 4-5 cories in a 10, but I may be wrong...
