Peppered cory cats like to suck on my betta's fins?

Is this normal?
They won't hurt his fins, will they?

I don't think so, but there are fish that have been known to be dangerous because they suck on the slime coat which protects the fish against things. I don't know if this is the case--

Any idea why they might be so attracted to his tail?

What are you feeding the cories? I have heard that they will do this when they are hungry or not getting a proper diet (and this can be different for different fish). They might need some more variety in the food they're given, maybe.

It's not typically normal for them to do, and a betta may not be able to swim away fast enough like other fish can.

They're super interested in the bloodworms I put in the tank and always eat them up. Should I try giving them something else?
