Well, peace and harmony isn't really in most bettas. Some are quite nice and some can kill any other inhabitants. It's really a 75% chance of making sure everything is good. In general, they can perfectly coexist together. As long as the Cories are Pygmies and that the water parameters match it will be fine. Snails need hard water due to their shell so you should really test your tank.

Also, make sure the tank is heated and cycled.
Happy fish-keeping!

You really can't. All you can do is add tons of calcium supplements in hopes they can build their shell faster than the acidic water breaks it down.

10 HM, 3 HMPK, 5 HMPK fry
8 German Blue Ram, 5 Green Dragon BNP, 4 Albino BNP, 4 Calico BNP, 6 Red BNP, 5 Kuhli Loaches, 2 ADF, 7 Peppered Cories, & 6 Tiger Endlers + Fry
12 full time tanks, 4 NPT, 6 QT/Breeders

Yeah, and changing the water's parameters will be hard on the inhabitants because it can fluctuate. Snails aren't that great anyway.

coral and shells will harden the water.

^^ Bettas need soft water!

The nerite snail's probably better.

Bettas don't need soft water.. They can go in hard or soft.. That's why they're pretty popular. Their fins and their adaptability. And yes, shells harden water. You can only get snails in hard water.
