Questions about giants!

So i just got a 10 gal and was planning on dividing it between two fish. THEN I got this brilliant idea that i could get a giant betta instead to live in it. So I am basically wondering what you all knw about giant betta care, what other fish they can cohabitate with, any problems they have, etc.

Thanks!!

They are still Betta splendens so care is the same, except they need more food. They could live in five gallons (aka a divided ten gallon).

It's the exact same thing as a normal betta u just feed it a little more and give it a big tank... So your tame as perfect as long as u have a filter and heater and places for them to hide

Hmm, I haven't had a giant betta before, but I am sure that they would need more food. Good for you for giving it so much room! Pretty much just the same care as a regular betta.

That's what I think would be the best. If the minimum for a regular betta was 5 gallons, wouldn't it be 10 gallons for a giant?
It's up to you

Minimum for normal bettas is 1 gallon. Ten gallons would be nice, but five gallons is fine for a giant.

That's kind of where my thinking was. each of my boys have their own 5 gallon setup, so I figured a fish twice that big would do well with the ten. What do you guys think? Is my reasoning off?

It's all up to you. All of my males are in divided tanks and have 2.5 gallons each (don't jump on me. I know what I'm doing.). If you can provide five gallons that's great. A giant would like 10 gallons, so would a normal betta. A giant would be fine in a five gallon though.

haha i wouldnt do that... I believe in trusting each betta owner to know what is best for their fish, and if i wasnt so lucky my fish would still be in smaller tanks and they would be perfectly happy :)
