It might help to take them out, rearrange the tank, but the neons in first, then put the betta in after and see if there's an improvement. :) It's good to have a backup plan though, just in case.
Today was my water change day, so, i took advantage of this and did some rearranging.

Looks like there is a lot of confusion in the tank at the moment. With the debris left over in the water even though I vacuumed it out, and, all of the huts/plants in different spots.

This was a good idea. I will wait and see what happens :)
