How many shrimp

I have a 10 gall and I am going to start up a NPT. I want to add some shrimp but how many should I get?

Up to 10 per gallon but I would start with 10 for a few weeks and then add until you get about 15-20 for starters. If you go with easy ones like red cherry, you will have plenty and enough to sell in not too much time. A great website is Petshrimp.com* This guy breeds, sells, and puts up a TON of info on shrimp. His shrimp prices are lower then AquaBid sometimes.

*Is this against forum rules? It is not a betta forum or fish forum rather shrimp.

I added 12 RCS safely to a 2.5 gallon. Water changes every 2 days was fine for them. I think for a 10 g you can get away with a lot more if you're willing to the do the vacuuming! I didn't realise how much they pooped! And since it's a NPT, the paramters could probably support quite a few more than would a non-NPT.
