What other fish can I put into my 5 gallon tank?

Hello,

So I just got a new tank (5 gallons) and my very first betta, Xshiphin, today and the tank looks pretty lonely for Xshiphin.

I want to know what else I can put into my tank so my fish isn't lonely... (I don't really know if it is )

Thanks.

Sad to say, a 5 gallon tank is fully stocked with your betta. You could do some shrimp or a snail (apple seem to be the most popular) if you wanted. But shrimp can be extremely sensitive to water quality and so a brand new set-up might not be ideal.

If you seriously want to consider other fish you have to start looking at tanks in the 10-15 gallon range.

I'd only add either a snail or shrimp to your tank.

Flame - Red and Blue Veiltail Male
Oswald - Blue Halfmoon Male

snail, ghost shrimp, cherry shrimp, or african dwarf frog.

I've looked into every other possibility because I was getting bored with the same tank mates. There really are no other options because of the size.
