I would say it's fine.

We learned the hard way to be careful when feeding the cory's. I would avoid shrimp pellets, cories love them but the betta also does and will eat them all and wind up bloated. We are currently trying to solve the belly on our marble crowntail from stealing the cories food.

Yes. Albino cories get fairly large and need a 20 gallon long IMO. They are super active.

Flame - Red and Blue Veiltail Male
Oswald - Blue Halfmoon Male

+1. I don't think it is right to keep such an active fish in such a smalll space.

As a rule of thumb, if you're asking if your tank in overstocked, then it probably is. I agree with Crowntails and Bombalurina, they need a lot more room.

I have 3 corydoras and 1 PK HM betta who thinks he's a cory together in a 10 gallon and I am watching their behavior and thinking they will need to be upgraded within a couple months to my 20 gallon that currently is a baby African tank which will be due for an upgrade by then. The albino cory is growing very fast and like crowntails said they are very active! I have two greens as well and they aren't as active but I feel they are a wee bit restricted and slightly bio overloaded( but I'm anal about keeping water perams right so that tank is more work). I think 16 or more is very good for that group. Keep in mind adult sizes of all fish. Corydoras will be larger then the betta in the end.

funny you say this. I think my tank would be the opposite. (haven't done shrimp pellets yet though). My albino actually will attack the turkey baster when I suction food after I feel they've had enough. He is not happy that I take his food away while even the betta is like "fine , ok clean up and leave it's all good" lol

Do you have an equivalent of allclassifieds for Victoria? Things are much cheaper when you buy them from there.
