How many corydoras would you put in a 14g

I have a 8 gallon with 3 Corydora Aeneus and my betta at the moment. I plan on moving them into a 14 gallon tank as soon as possible (Just need to get a new light for plants). I plan on adding to the school just what would be the maximum amount of Corydoras I could add? I hope I could atleast get 6 out of it.

They are one of the larger species growing 3 inches. I think 6 would be way too much - either stick with the 3, maybe get one more, or switch to a smaller species.

Personally, I wouldn't keep any in a tank that small.

It depends on the floor space of the 14g you're moving them into. If it's a 14g hex, they'll outgrow the tank. If it's a 14g Biocube, you should be able to get away with a full four easily. Try the tank in AQadvisor.com and see what it says.

A 14 gallon cube is only going to have a footprint of 15 inches x 15 inches. There's not much floor space with 14 gallons no matter what the shape is.

Hm. I assume AQadvisor understands the various factors between the tanks better than I do. If I plug in a Biocube 14 and a male betta, it says you can have up to 7 cory before becoming overstocked (though it complains that the male betta shouldn't live with the cory, but apparently the OP's is doing fine so far). If I plug in a 14g hex, it complains that there's not enough space for the cory at all.

Actual experience trumps a calculator, in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that aqadvisor has never kept corys, and it CERTAINLY has never kept them in the 88 different tank sizes listed. Aqadvisor says 10 gallons is the minimum for bronze corys. Most people that keep them would not agree with that.

Stocking is more art than science. Sites like aqadvisor are just a tool, and tools are only as good as the person using them.

Yes, that would be a 14 gallon that I would consider putting them in

Actually numbers of gallons are largely irrelevant - it's the dimensions that are important.
