i am searching a lot on the net , for other spices who can live with betta.
everybody says diffrent things, and i guess you guys know, so..
so i have 25 litters tank (jebo r331) and have only one nice betta, with everything he needs.
i want to put in some bigger fishes.
what is the bigest one i can put with him in this tank. i likes them colored and lazy.
does lionhead or sabrom(goldfish), or parrot fish ,can fit? if not ,what can be good in this tank who is similar to this fishes ? big and lazy ..
Goldfish and parrots will not fit in there. Keep the betta by itself. You could try nerite snails but snails need high hardness levels and pH which your betta may be unable to tolerate. What are your pH, GH and KH?
I currently have a halfmoon, and I keep a pair of glow danios and a chinese algae eater in my 5 gallon tank with him and they get along just fine... Dont put ANYTHING bigger than the betta in there, and DO NOT put any other fish with a tendency to be agressive in there... They can feel threatened and will kill your betta, which is always a sad affair. I would recommend smaller, community fish who dont really nip at long finnage, and keep to themselves.
In a 6 gallon, I'd do 6 pygmy cories OR some shrimp.
Both goldfish and parrot fish will soon outgrow that tank. Besides that goldfish are coldwater fish and bettas are tropical, so the two can not coexist happily.
I agree with Lupin - Chinese algae eaters will get big, stop eating algae, and terrorize a betta. The goldfish and parrots wouldn't fit in the tank either, plus goldfish are coldwater. The danios might work with a betta but since you need a school of them, there's really not enough room for a proper school and a betta in a 6g tank (plus they'd lack the swimming room they really need).
Pygmy cories, possibly snails or shrimp, or maybe even African dwarf frogs could work, but every betta is different and he might not get along with anything else you put in the tank.
