sorority question

I have a 55 gallon community tank that I'm planning on putting 6 female bettas into. Two of them I have had for a while. One I've had for about 8 months and the other for about 2 months. So they are used to being by themselves and are full-sized. The ones you buy at the store are always super tiny. Will it be a problem if I put the new ones in with the two that I already have who are a lot bigger?
Thanks!

I have three that I bought two days ago. One is huge, bigger than both of my males, then I have a normal sized one, and a smaller CT girl. The big girls seem to into developing their own pecking order and don't even notice the little girl is there. That's just my tank though.

I have had the same experience as LizbethDawn. I introduced several small/young females into my previous sorority and their arrival went mostly unnoticed.

I would assume that due to their small size, they are not really viewed as a threat by the older/bigger females.

When I added the my babies to my current sorority, the two adult girls corralled the three younger girls into the pecking order, mostly because one of those girls decided to challenge one of the big girls!

When I added the fourth baby (she had to catch up to the other three), she was immediately pushed to the bottom of the totem pole by the adults, she gets ignored now, unless she's attacking the guppies, then my yellow VT and my blue HMPK DS will kick her down a few pegs.

It depends on your girls, and I'm wishing you the best!
