Walmart Rescue

My betta who was living with 6 tetras in a spacious 10 gal tank. I would like to get another betta but am worried about introducing a new betta to the school. If I were to do this the betta would need to be a Walmart rescue as that's all we have for betta places near here. Would this be an option or do I just keep the tank with tetras?

I think you have an unfinished statement, but I am assuming your old Betta is gone now? If that's the case, you should be okay, I think. To be safe, I would rearrange the tank so it will be neutral ground for the Betta and Tetras, you can remove the tetras if you like beforehand, then put them back in the tank once its rearranged, then add the new Betta. After properly acclimating, of course. Just keep a close eye on them for a few days.
