Sounds like a great tank! i personally tend to overstock my 29 as well. i think you're choices will do very well in there. and i agree with the plakat idea. i had a male plakat who just loved the space he had in mine (though i thought he was a female, tried a sorority, you can imagine how that worked out! He didn't like his smaller tank as much when he moved). but i have a very busy halfmoon boy who zips all over his 5 gallon, and would also probably enjoy a large tank so like Dragon said, personal preference :)
