Question Spawning tank needing cleaning..

I have a 10 gallon spawning tank now housing my little female June, and her guy Jasper...(they are seperated)
Well I was wondering if it would be okay to add about 10 snails to help clean up the tank a bit....
There is nothing in my books that state this is bad...but always looking for opinions....

I think snails and bettas have different water requirements but maybe you should ask Lupin. He's our snail guy. :)

I would not advise mixing mystery snails with bettas. This may come down to trial and error but most of the bettas will nip constantly at the antennae and eyestalks of your snails. I tried my bettas and none ever worked well with these snails. Also, snails need high level of calcium especially high pH and KH so your bettas become prone to finrot and other bacterial infections in the process. If you insist on keeping snails, try ramshorns (not the Columbian ramshorns).
