Betta compatability ina 10 gallon

I'm looking to put my Betta in a 10 gallon aquarium with 2-3 other fish. The Betta is a male as far as I know, the average kind that comes in bowls from Petco. I'm looking to put a Gold Algae Eater, Angelfish of some sort, a miniature Plecco and snail in this tank with the Betta. Would they get along? Thanks :)

Agelfish: BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD. Long fins make the betta want to attack the angel.

Pleco: get's WAY to big for a ten gallon.

Snail: requires certain water that can give bettas fin rot and bacterial infections.

Who am I? Well I am a Junior Member of the International Betta Congress and a breeder of white HMPKs, red dragon HMPKs, black/red dragon HMPKs, metallic multi HMPKs, blue masked HMPKs, and now multi color HMs. Soon to add black HMs. I will be showing in New Breeder class in fall of 2012.

I was told this particular brand of Plecco shouldn't get much longer than my index finger. Would the Gold Algae Eater work?

I'm not sure about the golden algae eater but some ottos could work or you could try some cories. I am setting up a ten gallon soon to and am planning on stocking it with 1 betta and 4 or 5 cories

Captain: Red and blue, still dont know the tail type in a 10 gallon divided with...
Neptune: white crowntail
Kokomo: cellophane veiltail in 5 gallon tank

Apollo: marble crowntail in a 5 gallon

RIP Cosmo

I would not reccomend Algea Eaters, when they get bigger not only do they stop eating algae, but they get very aggressive. My dad and I learned that the hard way. :T

Like already mentioned, Angelfish have long fins that the betta will attack. Not to mention Angelfish need bigger tanks (I think at least 25 gal if I remember correctly).

I don't know much about Plecos. My dad has one his 75 gal and it is huge. Way too big for a 10 gal.
