My Ghost Shrimp

My Ghost shrimp are so boring i thought they would walk around and stuff but they only come out when i close the lights for an hour at night and turn it back on and i see them running and stuff jumping but then they go back in the tank, my betta fish swims right by them no problem, why they so scared for? should i take out the cave where they always hide they still have 2 plants to hide if they want , ill put the cave back later i just want them to not be scared

EDIT
i think it might be amano shrimp :s

If you not have one, then that might be why. Animals like that feel most comfortable in a group, so that there are more eyes looking out.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

Yea... That's an Amano. In my experience they are quite social... I had a pair once that never left each other's side.

That's definately an Amano. I have some in a few tanks and rarely see them in the tanks with fish in it. The 2 gallon jar with shrimp only I see them all the time, they even swim up to the glass when I look in the jar sometimes.
