as my betta decided amano shrimp are tasty, I am looking for an alternative.
my plants didn't do very well until I got the shrimp, they cleaned any dead leaves right off and allowed the plants to grow again.
They also did a great job at keeping algae of my wood and stones.
So I want to know, are there any other fish that would do a similar job? I do have two nerite snails, but they mostly hangout on the glass.
Since it's a 15 gallon with one betta, 6 endlers and 2 nerites my tank can take more fish than it's currently holding. The floor is made of fine 2-3 mm gravel.
I thought about getting a different type of shrimp that does breed in freshwater, but I'd say it's likely that by betta will hunt them down, and I don't want the shrimp to go through that again.
so any suggestions?
