Female Bettas

I have breed Bettas before with great results but I personally never looked up or thought about asking if the female bettas can be placed in a tank with other female bettas. Males I know that is a HUGE no-no.

And the other question is provided I remember right I can place a betta in a tank with Swordtails? It's been about 6 or more years since I have done the whole fish tank ordeal. If that is possible I was planning on picking up another male from my local fish store since they got a nice shipment in today I found out.

There is a sticky thread in the Betta Care section about housing female bettas together. The title is called "Female Betta Sororities"

Hello and welcome to FishForum. Here is a sticky about how to set up a female betta sorority tank. http://www.fishforum.com/betta-fish-...orities-29402/ I'm not sure about the swordtails.

Oh, and Sword tails should be OK. Just watch the betta carefully.

I thought so. I was thinking I had the two grouped up together when I originally started but thought I could be mistaken.

the swordtails should be ok, but as usual it all depends on the fishes temperment of each other. some will get along, some wont.

31 Betta Males
12 CrownTail
7 HalfMoon
5 DeltaTail
4 DoubleTail
3 Veil Tail

44 Betta Females
Round, Crown, Spade

65 gallon
55 gallon
35 gallon
2 - 20 gallon
4 - 10 gallon
16 - 1.5-2 gallon

MTS has struck, resistance is futile
