yikes! I'm sorry two of your fish died, hopefully your swordtail will last for some time. you could still split it at least a couple ways since you only have two fish now ;)

Alright, so today little Hewitt died :< I'm supposing the swordtail really was picking on him this whole time I just never noticed...Okay, here's the story. The betta got ich, so I treated the tank. It got better but he seemed to be really stressed and I wasn't sure why. He was sleeping in his house a lot and was not as active as usual. I was thinking maybe it was due to the ich...So just in case, I separated the betta from the swordtail in his own bowl so he wasn't working so hard to swim around. I come home from work and he was dead :< I looked at his fins and they had been nipped on. I'm totally bummed. This is the 2nd betta I lost. And I don't even like this stupid swordtail! GRRRR!! Can I strange him? Would that be okay with everyone? I wonder if the pet store would buy him back. I really liked Hewitt too :< He was a buddy...

I meant to say 'strangle'. lol

Ahh, thanks guys. It's okay. :\ I think I should just stick to one type of fish for right now. I'm still a newbie when it comes to bettas. Taking on other breeds may be a little too much right now. Perhaps I have bad luck with fish? I don't know.

Sorry about your betta.

Kindest Regards,
Amanda

Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!

55 gallon, 44 gallon, one 20 gallon tank, three 10 gallon tanks, and a 2.5 gallon all with real plants.

I have MTS and there is no cure.
