You should get at least three cory cats. Because they are extremely social. Add as many shrimp as you like! They have barely any bio load so, you don't have to worry about over stocking.

What about 5-6 females and 6 guppies or danios?

Oh I didnt know that! The lady I bought the 20 gallon from is a fish breeder and she said that the shrimp will really help speed up the process. I want to get some glass shrimp and cherry! So it sound like to keep no more then 12 "fish" but I can add extra bottom feeders to the tank.

Shrimp are very very sensitive to water parameters, so I wouldn't add them until the tank is completely cycled.

I lady that I bought the tank from said that the shrimp help cycle the tank faster, whats ya'll opinion? She said she always uses them when she gets a new tank.

Well, shrimp have almost no bio load, so I really don't see how they would help with the cycling. It probably puts a lot of stress on them too. I personally wouldn't do it.

Definitely have more then two cories. They're a shoaling fish. They need friendsies. They'll be stressed and unhappy. :)

I'd wait on the shrimp. I lost Burt and my tank is stable and cycled. They're sensitive lil guys. Though in my case it might have been liquid fertilizer. If you do get shrimp, watch out for anything with copper in it too.

16 Gallon-4 Corys, 3 Endler's, 5 Celestial Pearl Danios
10 Gallon: Male King Betta-Kilo
5 Gallon: Male Marble HM-Logan
5 Gallon: Dwarf Puffer-Huey
5 Gallon: Male VT-Tango
