Question Tankmates in a divided tank?

So could you have tankmates in a divided tank. I'm thinking for my future 20 gal long divided 8 ways... with a male betta in each. Any tankmates? Thanks

so for 2.5 gallons each you could have shrimp or maybe snails if you up for doing big water changes.

Hmm I had an apple snail which died and we had a million little snails :( Yuck, any snails that won't have baby snails? Not a big fan of shrimp, they freak me out when I clean, darting around everywhere. Haha ADF possibly? Or are my sections too small? Thanks

well for 2.5 gallons i wouldnt put an adf, could get very messy very quickly...........2.5 is reaally enough for a betta.........maybe divide it into 6 and leave 5 gallons open for a few adf's?

31 Betta Males
12 CrownTail
7 HalfMoon
5 DeltaTail
4 DoubleTail
3 Veil Tail

44 Betta Females
Round, Crown, Spade

65 gallon
55 gallon
35 gallon
2 - 20 gallon
4 - 10 gallon
16 - 1.5-2 gallon

Hmm I've been throwing that idea around too. I think if I end up getting ADFs I'll do that, but thinking about snails at the moment.. thanks
