i have a betta in a 2 gal with a 200lph filter in it can i get tankmates

anything i dont care

No, I don't think you should get any tank mates. No matter how good the filter is, there just isn't very much overall space. It would most likely end up in either your betta or the tankmate being badly beaten up and possibly dying as a result. A 2 gallon is really only adequate for your betta.

I'm not even gutsy enough to put anything into my filtered 5 gallon tank with the single betta that is in there for exactly the same reasons.

Eolith is right. Filtration isn't the issue, size is. Bettas can be very terretorial in smaller places. 2 gallons is adequate for your betta only.

2 gallons is a great size for one betta, anymore then that is over stocking. You'll run into territorial issues on top of waste issues.
If you want a shrimp or two, I would upgrade to a 5 gallon. If you'd like larger fish, upgrade to a 10 or larger gallon.
