Rasboras

Hey guys, so I have six Brilliant Rasboras with some other fish in my 55 gallon. I'm wondering if I could move them to my ten gallon tank, which has my male beta Alfonzz in it. If not that's totally fine, just wondering.

It's something you'd have to test and monitor. I wouldn't drop them in there before you go to sleep, but if you have a few hours for observation, it'll be a good test. If you see much chasing, remove.

Thankfully Alfonzz is very nonaggressive, I had three platy babies (two big to be eaten) in there with him, but they started nipping his fins so I took them out. Are Rasboras fin nippers?

All accounts I've ever heard of them say no, but again, every fish is different. I hear they're best off in larger (6-12+) shoals to keep this to a minimum.

I have 7 Harlequin Rasboras in a 55 with my Betta. Mine get along fine. My research said Rasboras would most likely be fine.

55 gallon tank - 1 common pleco, 7 harlequin rasboras, 1 betta (no name yet)

It's not the personalities but the Brilliant Rasbora easily reaches 3.5 inches full grown and need lots of space to swim. So for their sake, leave them in the 55 so they can swim happily and grow just as well.
