Question Big tank. Male Betta + Females??

So I need to do some rearranging which would only work if I put one male betta in the 50 gal community which also houses 4 female bettas. So in this big of tank with many other fish would the male betta hassle the females or vice versa? I've had males in big tanks like this before and had no problems. What do you think one male with 4 females? (This would be the male who has a female in his section and doesn't really notice, but loves her being around).

I personally wouldn't try it, but if you know what you're doing and know what to look for you could try it. IMO either the male will start attacking the females or the females will gang up on him and shred him. Females can be even more aggressive than males and since they're VERY territorial fish, anything can happen.

You're welcome. If you do decide to do it, I would watch them like crazy because it doesn't take long them them to shred fins. Even if they seem like they're getting a long, doesn't mean anything. That's why I wouldn't try it...they could be fine for months and than you look in the tank one day and you have a couple dead fish. The only time I would try putting males and females in the same big tank together is if they were siblings. But even than there's a possibility of them attacking each other.

I put him in for about 10 mins. The girls didn't care but the angels decided to nip fins. I got hime out before any damage was done, so he's back in his own tank. Thanks.

i would do this but you might want to do somethings first
1) slowly introduce the male to the females. much like breeding but put the male in the cup and see how they interact with each other.
2)make sure there are plenty of hiding spots for the males and the females
3)have a backup plane if it doesn't work out.
hope this helps and good luck.
