Shrimp or Snail in 3 gallon?

I'm looking into getting a malaysian trumpet snail or 3 amano shrimps to accompany my male betta in his 3 gallon heated eclipse 3.

Thoughts?

why not do 2 shrimp and a snail? That's what I did in my 3 gallon. 2 Ghost shrimp and a snail that hitch hiked on my plants.

You can do 3 ghost shrimp..or a mystery snail you can buy at most LPS.. But a 3g isnt big enough for both..

I'd say shrimp. Just because snails make a HUGE mess and clean only about half of how much waste they make. They'd make a three gallon disgusting. The shrimp might work, as long as you keep cleaning your tank weekly.

I vote neither. Tried a snail and shrimps before with Astaire - He bit off one of the Snail's eyes and kept trying to bite off the other and the shrimps ate part of his tail fin.

I vote shrimp. They make no mess and are good scavengers

I went with three ghost shrimp. Lots of fun to watch! Those little guys are extremely fast too, escaped the clutches of my betta several times.
