He's my good little wedding reception rescue fishy :) First Betta, and I blame him for getting me hooked on them so fast. I still love him though :) He's a quirky little guy. He's on the smaller side, but he still has a lot of character.

I remember my first Betta! His name was Emmett. Lol.
My mom got him for me for my 11th birthday. I'm 15 now and not a day goes by without her walking into my fish room and saying the same line.. "This is all Emmetts fault!" haha. :D

Haha- that'll be my room one of these days. I just need another bedside table and another 10 gallon fishtank and I'll have room for five Bettas :P

And my brother's going to college next year.... BETTA FISH IN HIS BEDROOM!

Haha- No, I'm not that hooked, and horseback riding lessons come before more tanks and everything, but it'll happen one day.

I'm hooked. I'm going to have at least 10 Bettas soon... for now my plan is to start a sorority, give my current Bettas their own 5 gallon fish tanks, and THAN I'll buy some of those aquabid quality Bettas at my LFS....

Back to the subject. I agree with others who say corycats, they sound great with Bettas! If your guy is super relaxed you might just be able to pull off guppies... or Neon tetras. Platys might work, too! Good luck with your fish!

If guppies are jewels, than Bettas must be rainbows

Proud owner of Neon, Ryu, and a still unnamed CT
