I always consider plants or cycling as a buffer, not a replacement to water changes. They just mean that if for any reason I can't do one of my scheduled changes the tank can survive an extra day or 2. I find it a better way to look at things, otherwise you're tempted to be lazy and not do a change ;)

Anyways, back ON Topic:

I really want to try and find some of the different varieties of shrimp for my tank to add some more color but all I can ever find are Ghosties and the odd Red Cherry. I wish I could find some Greens or Bamboo or Amanos around here.

My male recently after his last molting decided to change color a bit. Now he has brown markings. Not really Amano like, just random highlights of brown here and there.

Howl - Royal Blue Veil Tail
Blaze - Blue and Red Delta
Mi - Blue Lady

Anacharis is really common around here. Great plant, grows like a weed. Bamboo shrimp are awesome! I can't find any red cherry shrimp around here, wish I could.

I only have 1 betta left, but he's a cool blue marble!
