Any suggestions?

Hi
I have a tank which is 19 uk gallons or 23 us gallons, i currently have a female crowntail in it but want to put something else in as well. I was thinking of turning it into a sorority but 1, dont have enough confidence in doing this and 2, already have another 4 tanks so if had any trouble with fighting etc have nowhere to house them while they recover. It has gravel, a cave, lots of live and fake plants, it is also filtered and heated. So any suggestions very welcome. Thank you

If your gravel isn't sharp get corydoras catfish. Zebra Danios are good, and so are platys. Shrimp are great for any tank, as well as neon tetras.

I only have 1 betta left, but he's a cool blue marble!

I have approx the same size tank as you. Mine has 5 female bettas, 5 zebra danios, 5 neon tetras and a couple of female guppies in. They've been in there about 3 months and no problems so far.

If you go with any Livebearer type fish.. be sure to get all females. Mixed sex groups cause a lot of tenstion in community tanks.

I would suggest a school of neons. Since they're small, you can get more, and they look gorgous when they start to school. and, they should be fine with your betta, unless its overly aggressive :)

Thanks for all your replies, just one question though will the tetras not be too fast to have in the tank with her and steal all the food?

My females feed at the top and the tetras feed lower down. They seem to wait for the falling food.

i wouldn't get zebra danios, now im not sure if the girl at petsmart was right about this or not because i have never seen my betta do this to them but she said that my zebras were dying (2 a day aprox.) because of stress from my boy Hanabusa chasing them. So i would have to say no to the zebra idea.
