10 Gallon?

Hi, I am new here and would like to know if i could put a halfmoon betta in a 10 gallon tank(with filter and heater but no gravel).
I would also like to know if i could add sand to it later on.

I think you should wait and buy it all at once. It would look a bit weird with no gravel/sand.

If you are cycling the tank it is important to have substrate. I would buy play sand. It is 4$ for 50 pounds. 10 gallons is great for a betta.

I only have 1 betta left, but he's a cool blue marble!
