New friends for Ryu

Today I got four ghost shrimp and a gold mystery snail. All are doing great together so far, I am going to keep an eye on them though. He seems to like the shrimp because every time they find something to eat goes to investigate.

1 fish - Male Red butterfly Crowntail named Ryu
1 dog - Male Jack Russell named Jack Frost
2 horses - 1 female named April and 1 male named Crusader both 1/2 arabians.

I have 3 ghost shrimp and 1 gold myster snail with my betta, almost the same. Well I also have 3 albino corys.
It is interesting to see how they interact with each other. My shrimp leave the betta alone and the other way. But my betta is always checking out the snail.

I don't think he has seen the snail yet. Although he might just think its a rock because I do have a few larger peices of gravel that are yellow. All the shrimp have taken their food into a cave to eat it in the atempt that he won't follow.

Sometimes, you think that ghost shrimp are compatible with bettas but they are really not. Bettas seem to be compatible because they can hardly see the shrimp. The mystery snail is perfect though.

Everyone is still doing well tonight. One shrimp died, but he did look old. Or he didn't aclimate right. All the others are ding fine and eating as well as the snail.

I got 3 ghost shrimp a couple of weeks ago. My betta killed the smaller one.. and an other one took a bite out of my betta ripping a piece of his fin, so bad experience. I do love the corys, i have 3 of them and they get along with my betta just fine.
