Pimping out the males??

So right now I have 2 male betta's in a divided 7g but they'll be transfered to my 10g once I clean it and what not. I've been thinking of starting a sorority, and then my girlfriend was saying we should get a sorority for each male :p Unfortunately I've never heard of such a thing and it seems doubtful to me, especially after just reading you need 5-6 females for a stable sorority, and that's all that will fit in a 10g :p

So my question is, is this possible?? How well do males and females interact? Should I just keep the 10g seperated with the males?

Thanks all :)

It is possible to keep 1 male with many females, however, you would need much more than a 10 gallon to pull that off.

I have heard of it successfully happening in 55 gallons with extremely experienced fish keepers. Having a sorority in a 10 gallon only works for seasoned betta keepers.

Don't try it! And I say just stick with the males.

Kaida- CT Female 2.5 Gal.
Julep- HMPK Male 2.5 Gal.
Fandango-HM Male 10 Gal.

I wouldn't try it, either. I think it would be a disaster waiting to hasppen. Bettas are too territorial and it would cause a lot of stress on the fish.

Thanks guys!! I kinda though along the same lines, ah well. She'll just have to wait until we get a bigger place so we can set up our 65g :p
