40 gallon idea

I love rams, they are my favorite! (Sorry bettas!) Anyways, I have read they like their space with more mellow tank mates who don't eat too quickly or they wont get any food.

I wanted to purchase a 40 gallon with;
(4) Rams (undecided between german and Bolivian)
(9) Female bettas
(6-ish) Cories (unknown about pygmies or another kind)

Do you think this would be a good mix? This tank will have a large piece odlf driftwood and will be fully planted and cycled. ^^

Thanks everyone!

Kaida- CT Female 2.5 Gal.
Julep- HMPK Male 2.5 Gal.
Fandango-HM Male 10 Gal.

I don't know much about bettas, but I think it would absolutely work in a 40.

Maybe you should start off with 6 Females?

Otherwise, I will think it will work out great.

My Bettas:
Sashimi: Red Veil-Tail Male, May 2nd, 2011 (R.I.P)
Leela: Blue/Green Veil-Tail Female, May 14th, 2011
Gemini: Pearl/Green/Red Delta Male, May 21st, 2011 (R.I.P)

& Unnamed 5 Bettas

Old fisherman never die, they just smell like it.

I don't know much about rams but I do know that my 9 females in my 29g are crazy aggressive eaters. They even take most the algae pellets that I feed the cories. I have to be sneaky and feed the harem on one side while dropping bits of algae pellets on the other side while they are distracted.

So, If rams are slow eaters they might not get any food. In my tank anyways!
