What an Order :-)

Got some new companions for my Betta-based tanks. Right now they are in various 5.5 while I fiddle with both of the 20 long tanks. All from Invertebrates by Msjinkzd - Specializing in invertebrates and micro fish from around the world..

Dario Dario (Five in each 5.5 Gallon)
Celestial Pearl Danio (Eight Gallon)
Ember Tetra (20 Gallon)
Neon Tetra (for Gary) (20 Gallon)
Hara Jerdoni (20 Gallon)
Oto (20 Gallon)
Pygmy Cory (20 Gallon)
Habrosus Cory (20 Gallon)
Sundadanio axelrodi "Blue" (Eight Gallon)
Chili Rasbora (Eight Gallon or 20 Gallon)

All arrived healthy and are eating quite well. The Betta in the tanks are ignoring them even though two, Swagger and Clark, haven't been exposed to other fish.

BTW, these are the fish with which I've had very good luck no matter their parameter requirements but you need to be more cautious, especially with pH, if you buy wild-caught....which I don't; well, except for the filter-feeding shrimp because that's the only way you can get them. I figure they either go in my tanks or the are served as delicacies on someone's plate. Better me.

I would caution that several species do not take pellets or flakes so you need to feed live or frozen food; this is a definite with Dario Dario.

I have always wanted Dario dario, but I have read that they only take live food and when I travel and have someone housesitting, that could be a problem.
I was in a store they other day and almost took home a school of Oryzias woworae, but decided against an impulse purchase. I'm regretting it a little now though and may have to go back to get them...

Ricefish are lovely; let us know if you get them and how they do.

Wow that is quite an order!! Hope all settle in well. Keep us posted on how/what you feed the Dario dario if they're in a community tank? (E.g. just drop in frozen bloodworms and the betta eat them, too?)
How big a school of neon tetra did you get to avoid betta-nipping?
I have 13 of the CPD's and I've found it to be the minimum for their intraspecies hierarchical male/male squabbles and female chasing, but they haven't been betta-nippy at all. They're neat fish, have individual personalities.

I also just got some CPD from msjinkzd! What do you feed them?? I ordered some .5mm new life spectrum pellets but they seem like they can't get the pellets in their tiny mouths....

I feed them flakes, I just crunch them into bits with my fingers first. Also frozen daphnia and baby brine shrimp. They do have tiny mouths!

I feed frozen "Mini Bloodworms" which are mosquito larvae. I also feed live Grindal, Walter, Banana and Micro Worms.

Oops, forgot: My favorite frozen for these baby fish are Cyclops and Daphnia. Very tiny so easily eaten and digested by babies.

I keep seeing seed shrimp being sold as daphnia, my fish won't touch seed shrimp. I love feeding all of my fish mosquito larvae XD It's adorable watching them chase the live ones
