Unhappy He jumped over the divider!

Today we say goodbye to my dear Gemini.

Yesterday was my birthday and my mom got me 2 new Betta fish. I had no room for one, so I divided my 20g. That night, when I was feeding them, I heard a splash, (i wasn't looking at the 20g at the time). I didn't think much of it.
This morning, I came to feed them and I couldn't find my halfmoon in his side of the tank..So I looked over to Gemini's tank. My halfmoon jumped over the divider. I kept looking for Gemini..Sadly he died. & It was all my fault

BTW - My friend got my a female betta to. But she has spots on her fins..Is that a disease? I will post a requested photo.

My Bettas:
Sashimi: Red Veil-Tail Male, May 2nd, 2011 (R.I.P)
Leela: Blue/Green Veil-Tail Female, May 14th, 2011
Gemini: Pearl/Green/Red Delta Male, May 21st, 2011 (R.I.P)

& Unnamed 5 Bettas

Old fisherman never die, they just smell like it.

I'm sorry for your loss ):
Bettas are notorious jumpers and if you simply have a divider between them, it is best to make sure it reaches the lid so there is no possibility of them coming in contact.
