Females + Males in divided tanks?

Hello there. So, today I lost a boy of mine-- he'd had a tumor. He just... died. He was part of a 4-way divided 10 gallon that's heated, filtered, and has live plants. Aside from the four males living in there, I've got one male in a heated, filter 5 gallon, and a female that was in a heated, unfiltered 2 gallon tank.

I did pop her into the empty space in the divided tank, however my males are all going NUTS. They're flaring at her through the dividers, and she's flaring back, showing vertical stripes, ect. My question is this: Is she okay to live with males as neighbors? Will it effect her health in any way? I'm only asking because my males are going more nuts over her then they did with other males in that section.

She'll be filled with eggs often, which could lead to being eggbound and dying from it, but other then that, I suppose it should be okay...

Hmmm see she's my first female betta-- she was on sale at Petsmart for 99 cents and too pretty to pass up. What's eggbound? I assume it means she can't release eggs or something? Do they normally make an drop eggs? o__o

Yeah, when they fill up with eggs, they release them every now and then, but if it happens too often they become eggbound and die from the problems not releasing the eggs create. That's what I've heard, anyhow. I wouldn't do it unless you can completely block her sight.
