Maybe getting cories

So I want to get some cories (4-5) for my 10g. And I have tropical flakes (Aqueon) and some sinking algae pellets. I know they are social and schooling, but what else should I know. Ithink that they have no scales and need sand, is that true? And anything else... Thanks.

My cories don't really care much for algae wafers..but they love the sinking shrimp pellets that are made by aqueon.
They do prefer sand...But as long as your gravel is small and smooth they should be fine.

I would get 3-4.I believe 5 may be pushing the stocking level a bit...
I have 4 peppered cories in my 10 gallon and I feel that it is quite fully stocked. They are all healthy and happy though.

fishman, mind if I hijack real quick? I'll give it back, I promise.

I'm also thinking of getting cories: pandas or habrosus. I'm a little worried the habrosus might be TOO small, though. Pandas: 1.75", habrosus 1.25"

Hijacker. Well the pandas won't eat the habrosus if that's what you're asking.

I wish I could have found the habrosus corydoras..or the pygmys...I REAAALLY wanted adolfo Corys...apparently they're hard to comeby though...

I think the habrosus should be fine though..just make sure they have a few hide spots just in case.
heres a cool website:

fishman,

Littlebittyfish, it seems like any cory that's not an albino or bronze or peppered cory is really hard to come by. I saw adolfoi cories on liveaquaria.com but the minimum purchase price is $29.95 with a shipping price of $40. Thanks for the info. I'm still not quite decided. I love the pandas but I could fit so many more habrosus in. Decisions, decisions.

Okay, fishman, here's your thread back. Thanks for letting me borrow it.
