Bamboo shrimp?

I was thinking about gettin a bamboo shrimp for my sorority. The ones at the pet store are almost 2 inches long and my girls are about an inch and a half long. Im getting more live plants today and I have tan colored gravel so itd blend in. Im scared if I get it the girls would tear it up. Any suggestions? My girls eat ghost shrimp so im really curious about the bamboo shrimp....

I thought about getting a bamboo shrimp, but decided it was too risky because they get bigger and I've heard about them harming bettas. Also some bettas may tear them apart.

The ones I saw at Petco. They had no pincers. They had these fan like hands that they waved in the water to catch food. They eat microscopic particles in the water. I wouldn't really worry about the shrimp eating your Betta but I would worry about the shrimp getting food. I wouldn't try them unless your tank is fairly established.

Yeah maybe in a few months I will get a small one but my girls will try to eat it if its too small. I just put my plants in so I need to have my tank fully settled. If I get one, my man wants to name it old greg. I went to petco today but they were like 4 inches long!!! O. o I saw a " big eyed squirrel fish" :3 soo cute but for salt water.
