10G Tank Mates?

Currently I only have Charlie, my halfmoon, in a ten gallon, and I was wondering what other fish can go with him(: I was thinking a school of 5 neon tetras, but that's all I can think of. I know the tank is pretty bare, but I'm going to heavily plant it in about a week and add more hiding spots. Anything will help, thanks!

You can have a small school(4) of cories, either Albino or Panda species, but Albino is more hardy. But keep in mind cories need either sand or really small , smooth gravel so as not the hurt their sensitive Mouths. They are sensitive to light and need hiding places, too. Oh, and I can't see a filter in the tank so if you add any species of new fish you need one

Hahah that's the best thing about this tank, you can't see the filter:D Its in the right corner, its a hang-on-back. And when you say that albino cories are sensitive to light, do they have to have the light off? Or do they need a lot of hiding spots with shade?

The filters behind the green plant, it's a HOB from what I can see (hangs on back).

I would say you're pretty open to a school of small tetras. Don't go with Danios, no matter what people tell you at a pet store. They will nip the Bettas fins. Personally I would go with a bottom dweller like Cory's so you have more fish to care and admire but the Betta gets the whole top level to himself :)

Thanks guys, I'm thinking a school of 5 neons, and 4 cories (I'm not sure what kind!). How would I feed the cories? I was thinking I could feed the neons with flakes, since my betta won't touch them

All cories are slightly sensitive to lights, not just albino ones( which are Albino Bronze Cories, FYI) and they just need shady hiding spots like caves to escape to if they ever get uncomfortable

edit:

If I got your post right, you have to choose one, you can't have both

Yes, either the cory's or the tetras.. or upgrading your tank. 10g is big to a betta but a small tank in the tropical world :(

Thanks guys, I see a bigger tank in the future:D I've decided to go with the neons, since I know what to feed them and what not. I'll post pictures when my tank is all ready (which may 1-2 weeks). :D
