Possible Tank Mate?

Hey! so I'm going to upgrade my tank really soon, and I was wondering if Bettas are compatible with Loaches? I had some a really long time ago and i absolutely loved them. Do you think itd be an ok fit?

It depends on the tank, and type of loach. Though in right conditions I think that would be OK.

I wouldn't put loaches in anything less then a 20 gallon.

I have Khulis, and they do great with my bettas, best clean up crew i have... XD

♡♡ 2 cats, 3 Bettas, 5 ball pythons, 5 Fancy Rats... and a five year old little girl!! ♡♡

Research the species you like and then buy the tank size that is best suited to meet their needs.....
Most Loaches need fairly large tanks and need to be kept in groups....

I'm really liking the Kuhli and Banded Dwarf Loaches. They're temps are similar to Bettas. And Banded dwarfs can live in 10 gallons, the Kuhli loaches page didnt tell me what tank size is preferble...

www.liveaquaria.com says kuhli loaches need 50gallons. That's because they like to be in really big groups and they get about 4 1/2 inches long. If you keep just one or two kuhlis you may never see them because they will literally hide all the time. You may want to go with cory cats for your 10g tank. I have four panda cories and I love them. Albino/bronze cories get a little bigger but you can still have three or four in a 10g tank.
