I have breed Guppies for 2 years and always had them in a heated tank. When I put them in cold water they died a few days later. My grandpa said he kept them in a bowl when he was younger.

Oh, I didn't mean cold cold water, obviously. But if the unheated water could be around 70-76, the guppies should be able to handle it better than Vicious. But yes, guppies do need warm water long term, I agree. :)

I also didn't mean cold, cold water it as about room temp.
