well bad news now. I woke up this morning to find bubbles in the 2 gallon trapped behind the filter, how he got there i have no idea but he was dead. i did everything pretty much to the T and he still died. could adding then taking away a tankmate have done something to him? i dont know this house has bad luck with fish, my room mate killd our pocasamist (sp, sucker fish) and alot of tetra and then i killed a betta any pointers?
Without knowing more, it's difficult to say. If the plecostomus and tetras were in the same tank as the betta, that would have been problematic.
What was the temperature?
What was your water change schedule?
Detailed information is always useful. :)
I'm sorry about poor Bubbles. :( It's horrible to lose them. Sometimes they die despite the best of care (I've lost two recently from absolutely perfect tanks).
No the sucker fish and reread were gone before the betta even arrived. I was doing 50% changes every 3 days. I have a small filter in there so I'm assuming no need to do it as much. Temp was right at 80 degrees. He was all alone except over night with the other fish.
