He kinda was xD the endler tried dominating him (flare... so darn cute for an endler!) and the betta stared at him. endler: "eep..." :-p

Breed for the breed, not for the money; the words any REAL breeder would understand.

You must know nothing in order to know all, for all is nothing and nothing is for all.

Many of my scaly friends from my original tank from 2011 have passed, except for two! I am in the process of re-doing my tank. :)

Thank you for the list. It'll be a great help to anyone wanting to put a betta in a community tank.

I just have one question regarding the bettas temperament. Is there a way to determine if the betta will be suitable for a community tank before putting him in one? Our boy has only been on his own in a one gallon but doesn't flair at anything that I've seen.

There is no sure-fire way of doing it. You can get him "beginner" tank mates like snails and shrimp to see if he eats them, but many bettas will accept inverts and not fish as tankmates. There is no definite way short of actually giving it a go and crossing your fingers. :)

Life.
