When I set my sorority up - I was recommended 5 girls. 4 may work but I heard 5 is better. 6 might be too many for that size tank.

My bettas: 6 boys and 8 sorority girls
Making it my mission to have all natural planted tanks!

I have had many people recommend 5-6 for a 10g tank. I would have 6 but my 5 are getting along well and I don't want to upset the balance.

I have six in mine, but i am going to upgrade to a twenty gallon soon, so it is sorta moot... They get along fine, and most of them are fairly small anyway so its not bad.

♡♡ 2 cats, 3 Bettas, 5 ball pythons, 5 Fancy Rats... and a five year old little girl!! ♡♡

I have had from 7-8 girls in a ten gallon tub. I had no problems with aggression or water quality. Lots of live plants took care of both of those for me.
