10 gallon community

So I really want a betta community tank, or just divide it. Can you guys list some fish that could go in a sorority or fish with a male betta?

i think in a 10g it would be best to just do a sorority without any community fish if you went that route

have a 10g that i have a female betta in with 4 corries and a snail and i LOVE the tank, the corries are adorable - not as quirky as bettas but they're funny in their own way

One female betta in yours? I was thinking if i do a sorority of having like 6 or 7. Or should I divide it into three or four sections? ( I don't have a ten gallon yet just want to have some ideas for when i do get one)

yeah i think either one fish and come community fish or a sorority and no community fish would work best.. also dividing is good. just make sure the divider had no holes and they can't jump over the top

i personally really like my single betta with 4 corries, but that's personal preference :D

also sororities take a TON of work, i wanted to start one but i'm gone alot and wouldn't be able to supervise them, i also don't want to buy all the extra tanks in case i end up having a couple misfits or bullies

Because of the shape of the 10 gallon, I wouldn't divide it into more than two sections. Dividing it anymore than that will cause the spaces to be too vertical and not enough side-to-side swimming space. If you want more than two fishes your best bet is to go for a community set-up.

Yay then he will love the 5 gallons! And if he is the only fish then he will really love the 10 gallons to himself!

I have two tens one is a community with one male betta and 5 little cories and the other is a devided with two males. Either way theyre both nice setups. Personally I like the community a little better than the devided one of my cories is like a puppy dog and follows my betta everywhere.

No signature at this time.
