You would do it exactly the same as a fish, put the bag in for 20-30 mins, then add small amounts of tank water to the bag water. After you've done that a few times, dump it in. Hold off on feeding for 24 hours

Depends on the snail - most like veggies.

I don't acclimatise snails. They're pretty hardy. I just dump 'em in. Haven't lost one yet.

Actually, veggies are quite a pain, not only do they rot if you don't use them all, but they get quite expensive and you have to boil them first. Best choice is algae wafers, they also eat the algae off your tank and food your bettas miss and slime off the bottom. You can also feed a high protien sinking food just make sure the bettas don't eat it first and they need calcium somehow whether it be powder or in the food. Most algae wafers have calcium in them, and some food too. Feeding twice weekly and removing uneaten food the next day is good for snails.

I don't know what type of food you tried, but my mystery snails devour broccoli stalks like it's chocolate.

Algae wafers can be found in a pet store with other fish food, the ones I found were in a bag.

Yup, algae wafers are sold at all pet stores in the fish section.
